Excerpts:
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern (5-7-1) won decisions in two of the first three contested bouts but ultimately fell by a score of 31-9 against No. 11 Indiana (12-1) Sunday afternoon in Welsh-Ryan Arena. Redshirt freshman Brian Roddy, Jr. posted a 6-4 win at 174 over IU's Trevor Perry, who came into Sunday with an 11-1 dual record and who had defeated Roddy in their previous two meetings.

The dual meet began at 125 pounds where NU true freshman Levi Mele took on Indiana's Angel Escobedo, the nation's No. 1-ranked 125-pounder and a 2008 NCAA champion. Escobedo jumped ahead in the first period with three near-fall points and ended things with a pin at the 3:47 mark of the match, helping the Hoosier remain perfect at 24-0 on the year.
